Roxxem Season 1 Is Here: A Fresh Start, a Skill Tree and Boss Battles
Season 1 of Roxxem starts on October 12, 2026 and runs until February 19, 2027. It's the biggest update to Roxxem's games so far: a skill tree of powers, Co-op boss battles, Teams, teacher powers, and a season leaderboard where everyone starts in the same place.
A fresh start for everyone
Every player starts Season 1 at level 1. A student who joined yesterday and a student who has played for two years begin the season side by side, with the same tree to climb.
That's the point of a season: a fresh start, and progression that's fun again. Every level you gain earns a skill point, every skill point unlocks or ranks up a power, and new power slots open as you climb. The first levels come fast: your first game earns your first skill point, and most players reach level 5 within their first few games.
For this inaugural season, nothing you earned is lost. Your Passion, your avatars and backgrounds, your skill points, and achievements all carry over. (For future seasons, there will be a more complete reset).
The skill tree
Powers now live in one skill tree shared by every game. Learn a power once and it's yours in every game it works in.
- Five tiers, unlocking at levels 1, 2, 4, 8 and 12.
- One starter power per game, free for everyone.
- Ranks 1 to 5: one skill point to learn a power, one more for each rank. Rank 5 is at least twice as strong as rank 1.
- More equip slots as you level: 2 at level 1, 3 at level 5, 4 at level 12.
- Ultimates at tier 5, like Resurrection and Plot Twist. You can equip one Ultimate at a time.
Your tree is public on your profile, so classmates can see how you've built yours.
New Mode: Co-op
In Co-op, the whole class plays together against the teacher, who becomes the "boss". The boss has HP, and every point a student scores drains it. (In other words, the class must reach a total point goal.) Teachers choose a Weak, Strong or Epic boss (or set the HP themselves), and the class wins if the boss falls before the game ends. It works in all four live games: Whac-a-Word, Vocab Harvest, Sentence Snake and Quiz Ninja.
New Mode: Teams
Teams splits the class into 2 to 10 teams in any live game. Students still play their own game, but every point counts for the team, and the highest total wins. Teachers can shuffle the teams, move players and rename them.
Co-op and Teams are part of Pro Teacher.
Teacher Powers
Teachers have their own branch of the skill tree, fired from the host screen during a live game. These powers give teachers a fun way to impact the game by boosting or penalizing students. Teachers level up too: every live game you host earns XP.
The season leaderboard
The new Season 1 page ranks everyone by the XP they earn this season, and lists the season's contests, starting with Locotubre and FrancoManie. Season 1 prizes and achievements will be announced soon.
